Installation

Our Panels can be installed with screws or adhesive.

Installation with Screws

STEP 1 - measure and cut panels

Measure the wall height and mark the cut line with a pencil and square edge. Cut the panel to size using a fine-tooth saw for clean edges, and use a sharp knife for cutting through the felt backing if cutting lengthwise. Measure and trim panels carefully around obstacles like sockets. Repeat the process for all panels needed. For uneven or non-level walls, measure and cut each panel individually to ensure a proper fit.

STEP 2 - align your panels

Start installation from left to right. Position the first slatted panel with the felt lip on the right and the wood-veneered slat flush against the wall’s edge.

STEP 3 - mark out screw holes

Mark out screw positions on the felt backing. Our recommendation is spacing them about 200 mm apart across the width and 800 mm down the length. Keep outer screws at least 50 mm from the panel edge, and screw only through the felt backing—not through the wood slats. Pre-drill the holes before fixing.

STEP 4 - pre-drill holes and fit to wall

Use 35 mm × 3.5 mm black screws to match the felt backing. Pre-drill the marked holes, then screw the panels to the wall, checking alignment with a spirit level for a straight finish. Continue installing panels from left to right until all are securely fixed.

Installation with Adhesive

STEP 1 - measure and cut panels

Cut and measure the slatted panels so they match the wall dimensions (refer to step one in the installation with screws instructions).

Internal slatted panels can also be installed directly onto the wall using a fast-acting wall grab adhesive. With a caulking gun, apply a high-quality adhesive—such as CT Adhesive or another suitable wall grab product—in a zigzag pattern along the back of the panel. Use at least three adhesive lines per panel.

Typically, one tube of adhesive will cover between one and three panels. Leave a minimum 50 mm space between the adhesive lines and the panel edges to prevent excess adhesive from squeezing out.

STEP 2 - Adhere to wall

Place the panel against the wall in its correct position, ensuring it is level by using a spirit level. Apply firm pressure to secure it in place. Once positioned, avoid moving the panel until the adhesive has fully set. Always follow the drying time recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.

Please note: If the panels are installed using wall grab adhesive and need to be removed later, the adhesive’s strong bonding properties may cause damage to the wall surface behind the panel
